The background with “Ang guwapo ni President Johnson.” was copied from a photograph of Lyndon Johnson and Imelda Marcos dancing in Malacanang.

As for “Palitan na natin.. minulto ako ni Aguinaldo.”, it’s for that president who changed the presidential bed because he was afraid of the ghosts of presidents past. It could’ve been Quirino, Roxas, Macapagal, or Garcia. I forget. Possibly the same as the president who owned a golden arinola. But the bed in the drawing is based on the one used by Marcos in Malacanang.

And yes, I stole the style from Warren Craghead. I just had to come up with something for Nina within a couple of hours, and this was stuck in my head.
